Why Core Web Vitals Matter More Than Ever for High-Performing Websites

Core Web Vitals, measuring loading speed (LCP), stability (CLS), and responsiveness (INP) are now critical ranking signals for Google. While they help define what makes a high-performing website, Single Page Applications (SPAs) have long been difficult to measure because traditional tools often miss performance changes without full page reloads. This has left many SPAs looking slower in audits than they actually are, directly affecting SEO rankings.

To solve this, Google Chrome introduced the Soft Navigations API, currently in testing with Chrome 139. It detects “soft navigations” inside SPAs, ensuring metrics like LCP, CLS, and INP are captured accurately even without full reloads. For businesses and developers, this means SEO reports will finally reflect the true speed and user experience of modern web apps helping high-performing websites get the recognition they deserve.
